Wellington – A melting pot of flavours
Welcome to the 2008 Wellington Food Town – a two day food extravaganza that is putting Wellington firmly on the map as the food destination of the South West. This rapidly growing and vibrant event is showcasing the best food and drink producers - and all that this beautiful English town offers with its excellent food outlets and eateries.
Following the huge success of last year’s event which attracted an estimated 10,000 visitors, the event in July this year has been expanded to a full two-day interactive festival and fair, held within the grounds of the prestigious Wellington School, on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July.
With a variety of events planned on both days during the event, Wellington is expecting to entertain 20,000 visitors from far and wide.
On display and ready for tasting will be everything from honey, chocolates and preserves, to locally produced meats, cheese, cider and beer. And alongside these delicious stalls will be children’s play areas, music and entertainment, hog roasts and cooking demonstrations by guest and celebrity chefs.
Be sure to make a trip to Wellington on 5th and 6th July and ‘dig in’ to the best of the region at this phenomenal event.
